Employer and social policy : Social partnership

Nine companies have adopted our framework agreement dated 1 January 2007 for companies in Switzerland’s textiles and clothing industry, and other companies may choose to do so at any time. The involved companies all share the view that the agreement governs employment conditions that are both fair and in line with the present-day circumstances. The same applies with respect to the existing minimum wage. The absolute commitment to industrial peace and the assurance that work processes will not be interrupted due to strike action remain significant advantages for the involved companies versus industrial centres abroad, and can also be crucial factors in the decision to invest in a given company.
