Services: Communication and PR
Swiss Textiles wants to communicate a modern and future-oriented image of the textiles and clothing industry. For this purpose we are focusing on strategically important partnerships with the following platforms:
Swiss Design Prize
This prize is awarded every two years for outstanding design created in Switzerland. Top-quality design embodies innovative strength, expertise and an understanding of the importance of design as an economic factor. As a creative platform, for more than 20 years the Swiss Design Prize has been promoting interaction between disciplines, and dialogue between designers, institutions, companies and consumers.
"Swiss Textiles Prize" for young fashion and textile entrepreneurs
Swiss Textiles will be awarding this prize for the first time in 2015/16. The aim here is to promote innovative entrepreneurship in the fields of fashion and textiles, and support the development of a talented start-up company.
Swiss Pavilion at Techtextil 2017
Together with Swiss Textiles, 14 member companies and 3 research and educational institutions are organising a joint stand at Techtextil 2017. This trade fair for technical textiles and non-woven materials is widely recognised by the industry as a driving force for innovation. The stand is to be operated under the “Switzerland” brand, which will ensure a high degree of interest, as well as quality and an attractive location. The exclusive side events organised by Swiss Textiles at Techtextil 2017 will offer an ideal platform for establishing new business contacts and reinforcing existing ones. These events are of course also open to non-members who will be attending the trade fair with their own stand.
Textiles Museum, St Gallen
From its earliest beginnings, Swiss textile production had been characterised by internationality and regional roots, flexible responses to external impulses and independent developments. Describing this evolving mesh of inputs, own creativity and global interactions is one of the main tasks of the Textiles Museum in St Gallen, which portrays the rich history of the textiles industry, and its ups and downs from its start through to the present day.
Swiss Textiles supports the Textiles Museum in order to bring the work of the Swiss textiles and clothing industry closer to a broad public and provide insight into the industry’s innovative capacity and diversity.
