Erdem, UK

Erdem Moralioglu (www.erdem.com) was born in 1977 in Montreal (Canada) where he trained in fashion design. In 2000 he moved to London and obtained an internship with Vivienne Westwood. He completed his training in London by taking a diploma in women’s fashion design at the Royal College of Art. He went on to become an assistant to Diane von Fürstenberg, before launching his own «Erdem» label in 2005.

Alexis Mabille, FR

Alexis Mabille (www.alexismabille.com) was born in Lyon in the late seventies and completed his training at the Chambre Syndicale de Paris in 1997. He went on to work as an assistant with Emanuel Ungaro and Nina Ricci. He was then employed for nine years with Christian Dior where he was responsible for the creation of fashion jewellery. In this time he worked with John Galliano and Hedi Slimane. He founded his own label in 2005. His creations, embellished with many ribbons, bows and blossoms, are regarded as both chic and impertinent.

Ohne Titel, USA

Alexa Adams and Flora Gill are the names behind the Ohne Titel (www.ohnetitel.com) label. They were both born and grew up in the USA. They met while studying at the Parson School of Design in New York. After completing her training, Alexa worked for several years for Helmut Lang. The two designers met again in 2005 under the aegis of Karl Lagerfeld and launched their joint label. They have been presenting their garments in New York since 2006 and enjoy growing popularity.

Peter Pilotto, UK

The Peter Pilotto label (www.peterpilotto.com) is the work of two designers: Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos. Peter Pilotto is of Austrian and Italian descent; Christopher De Vos has Belgian and Peruvian roots. They both studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, from which they graduated in the year 2000. They founded their label in 2006 and have been showing it at the Prêt-à-Porter week in Paris since 2007.

Thakoon Panichgul, USA

Thakoon (www.thakoon.com) was born in Thailand in 1974 and grew up in Nebraska (USA). He graduated in business management from Boston University in 1997 and went on to study at the Parson School of Design in New York, where he completed his course in 2003. His first collection was presented in New York in 2005; since then he has been regularly showing his designs in that city.

Alexander Wang, USA

Alexander Wang (www.alexanderwang.com) was born in San Francisco (USA) and studied at the Parson Design School in New York. Since 2007 he has been showing his latest collections at New York Fashion Week with growing popularity. He was praised from the outset as a boy wonder and soon joined the top ranks of New York designers. Despite his meteoric rise to fame, he has lost none of his carefree youthful attitudes.
